Memory for PINK Saturday!

This week for PINK Saturday, our Beverly from How Sweet the Sound, asked that we share a favorite childhood memory from a special Holiday.....

One of my favorite memories is helping my Dad with the outdoor lights. I always got to find the bulbs that were burnt out on the strands. This memory is fond because my Dad was not much of a talker or a huggy, kissy kind of guy... but the "feeling" I always had while "helping" him was so great..... and when we were all done and flicked the light switch at night for the first time....that feeling was just priceless!

Go check out Beverly and enjoy the memories of all the rest of the PINK Saturday participants!

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!

What a sweet memory you've shared! My dad never let us put up outdoor Christmas lights---bah humbug, right?! My fiance and I will certainly be putting them up once we buy our first home. Until then, we'll just stick to tree lights : )

Your sweet story reminds me of Chevy Chase and the Christmas story with the Griswolds.......he sets up all the lights, the family waits with anticipation and WOW!!! The feeling you had sharing something special with your father will live on every year this time, it's priceless and heartwarming, Happy Pink Saturday, Char

Happy Pink Saturday, Mary.

My father used to give me the job of checking the lights on the tree. Remember those big bulbs? Thank you for sharing your sweet memory of time with your father.
