Here's to a great PINK Saturday! and to my Friend...

I thought I would send you all some pink cone flowers from a walk in the Nature Preserve that I took with my friend Emmy this past Wednesday.

Emmy is a breast cancer survivor and when I think of all things pink, she always comes to mind! What an inspiration she is to me and to anyone that meets her. She actually believes that she was chosen to have cancer and that it was a blessing. Emmy has used her challenges with overcoming the disease to help others, some she knows and some she doesn't in their journey.

She even wrote a poem, or journal entry as I would call it describing how she feels. She shared it with me that day, and I left her home with a whole new outlook on life!

Today's contribution to Pink Saturday is in honor my friend, Emmy!

ALOHA! It's Pink Saturday!

Aloha! and happy PINK Saturday! Today we're going to take alittle trip to the Beautiul Royal Hawaiian Hotel and take in the beauty of Waikaiki Beach! Won't you come along?

After check-in, take a little rest from the flight on this darling pink sofa...can you smell the orchids in the air?? Close your eyes and breathe.....

We're headin through the loggia after checking in our pink rooms! Oh.... I can almost see it..

Ahhhaaahhhh... THE POOL! Time to relax and take it all in!

Oops! I forgot our Mai Tais! There they are... I left them on the bar..silly me!

These pink roses are for my friend who is helping her best friend get through a frightening time. They are anxiously awaiting the diagnosis of what type of lymphoma "best friend" has. I know everyone of us has someone that has been touched by cancer..please say a little prayer for my friend and her friend today...

I was looking for something inspiring to post for Pink Saturday and WOOOLAA! While visiting Fifi Flowers this morning, I found this BEAUTIFUL painting she did as part of her blog today!

Pink Saturday Sunset....

I was visiting Fifi Flowers and Back Porch Musings today and thought I would contribute a little something for Pink Saturday. Check out the gorgeous Amalfi Coast on Fifi's site and then pop on over and see a beautiful "pink" sunrise on Back Porch Musings site! Today's pic here is of the Sunset as we were leaving the beautiful island of St. Thomas a week ago this past Monday! The most gorgeous pink glow surrounded the island as the sun was setting....ahhhhh...
