Summer's Light......

Mom, Dad and I decided to take a little walk on the bridle path in the park yesterday.....
Dad thought that he would only be able to walk a mile or so as he is still coming off the last round of chemo.... soooo..we thought..we'll give it a whirl! And here's what we found...
The path was nice and cool, and the light show was beautiful... it was like a blanket of peace fell over us....

Here's some of nature's bounty...the birds are going to be so happy when these ripen!

One of my Dad's "spots" to take a break and a good long look...

We'll be back to get some seed pods for our woodland gardens from this plant..we think it is wild bee balm..not sure..
Some wild daiseys for you my dear friends....

Heading back to the car.... (that's Mom and Dad)... we walked
2.1 miles! GO DAD GO!!
Hug those you love...if you live far... call someone you love today...
Happy Sunday!

A lovely post. I lost my Dad a few years ago at 93 and I miss him a lot. Spend every chance you get with yours. :)

Do come to Sanibel, you will love it and maybe bring Mom & Dad.

Thank you so much for your encouragement! It is definitely helpful. I work in an office each and every day just sitting at a desk :( It's just tough to actually push myself to do what I really want to do!
