Quest For The Perfect Sofa...

Some of you already know I made a big mistake in purchasing my living room sofa....it is beautiful to look at, but the most uncomfortable thing to sit upon as told to my by my brother in law's girlfriend. Her brutal honesty in telling me "this sofa really sucks!" a few weeks ago, has now motivated me to start a new hunt! (you can read about it in the old post called "Sofa Undone")

My love for modern design has to be melded with some of my already traditional pieces as funds are limited! (wish list 2009 also includes a Sarinnen side table seen in 2 of the pics..LOVE it)

The sofas posted today are clean lined and APPEAR to be comfortable enough! HA!! My mission is to have a new one by the New Year's end!!! That SHOULD give me enough time eh? Wish me luck!

My fingers are cross the hunt won't be long to find the perfect sofa. Will you share when you do find it?
I could see myself laying down with a warm throw and a good book on the 3rd sofa.
Happy shopping!

I hope you find a good sofa too. My absolute favorite is the Weston or the Charles by Hickory Chair...but you've got to test drive them. Have you looked at Pearson, Century or Lee sofas? Looking forward to hearing what you choose.

Happy New Year!

That is alway the problem...beauty or comfort. When they both come together in the same package it is sheer bliss. Good luck to you on your quest.

Hi there Ivy! I saw you on The Sartorialist's blog and thought I'd contact you about something you might be interested in. Sorry to leave a comment... I couldn't find any other contact info for you. Anyways, I'm launching a new website and I could really use your help in getting it started. It's at http://hangerbox.com It's like an online closet, where you can upload photos of yourself wearing your favorite outfits, then tell people where you bought it, how much it cost, and other details... You can also browse other people's outfits and see what they are wearing. It's pretty much just a big style sharing site. Anyways, I think it has good potential, but I need the help from people like you to get it started by uploading photos so that there is something there for people to browse. Hope that I'm not imposing too much, but I would be really grateful for your help. Let me know if you have any questions. And if you can't help, no worries, feel free to use the site as you wish. It would also be cool if you might be able to plug us on your blog. Again, it's up to you, but I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again!

P.S. Don't forget to tell your friends! Thanks! ;)
