Christmas Past...

This is a cherished picture of my Great Auntie Tone's Christmas tree village. It is thought to have been taken in the 1950's. It almost looks like it could be in a store display window. Auntie Tone and my Grandmother always had the most beautiful holiday displays with trains and villages, Nativity Scenes, and the most stunning tree decorations with the tinsel and the lights and the erethral Angels! Note the mix of patterns in the wallpaper, draperies, carpet...Gotta love vintage!

What a great photo.

It just encourages me in my quest to keep building wee houses! Someday, I'll have a whole city like this!

That had to be just magical for a child to see! You are fortunate to have a photograph of the way it used to look!

That is so sweet! I remember trains and villages under the tree when I was little but I haven't seen anyone do lately. So sad. Happy Holidays!
